CHEM 231 Quantitative Analysis
Principles of analytic chemistry. Includes theory, calculations, use of a computer, and laboratory techniques. Emphasizes statistical treatment of data, gravimetric, and titrimetric methods, complexation equlibria, and electrochemistry. Laboratory work in precise and accurate determination of unknown materials employing wet- chemical and intrumental methods. Three lectures and one 3-hour laboratory period per week. Additional fees apply.
