COMM 213 Introduction to Health Communication
Focuses on analyzing the interactions of people involved in health-care processes, and the dissemination and interpretation of health-related messages. Provides an overview of relevant history and current trends in health communication, including patient-caregiver communication, communication in social support networks, influences of social and cultural issues on communication patterns in health care contexts, analysis of health messages from news and entertainment sources and the development of health campaigns.
