SOCI 102 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology
An introductory course focusing on human diversity from both cultural and biological viewpoints. Comparisons of specific world-wide cultures, past and present, address issues such as: field research techniques; human and socio-cultural evolution; race and ethnicity; economic and political systems; gender, marriage, and kinship; religion; and art. Additionally fundamental terms, theories, and concepts of anthropology are covered.
