Academic Transcripts
A student’s transcript may be reviewed only by authorized personnel of the College with legitimate educational interest, the student, and individuals specified by FERPA. Generally, the Records Office must have written permission to release information from the student’s transcript. See Confidentiality of Student Records for information regarding release of academic records to parents.
Requesting Transcripts
Transcripts are available from the Records Office upon the written request of the student. Persons requesting transcript services must pay the appropriate fees as outlined on the Records Office website: Transcripts | Marietta College
Two types of official transcripts are available.
- Official e-transcripts are sent directly to schools and other institutions of higher education, prospective employers, etc. as designated by the student.
- E-transcripts may also be sent to directly to students; however, it is the student’s responsibility to confirm that the recipient will accept a forwarded document as official.
- E-transcripts are NOT available to alumni who enrolled at Marietta College prior to Fall 1985.
- Official transcripts may also be printed and mailed or picked up in person at the Marietta College Records Office in Room 211 of the Irvine Administration Building.
- Hard copy transcripts released directly to students are provided in sealed envelopes. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm that the recipient will accept an “Issued to Student Transcript” as official, provided the envelope remains sealed.
- Unofficial transcripts are available to current students via Self-Service.
Official transcripts will not be released for students/alumni who have outstanding debts to the College.
