ART 241 Introduction to Photo & Traditional Darkroom
Students are introduced to the fundamental concepts, processes, and techniques of black and white photography as an artistic medium through the use of 35mm film cameras and darkroom techniques. Basic technical skills addressed include the operation of 35mm and medium format cameras, exposing and developing film, creating contact prints, enlargements and basic darkroom manipulations. Lectures, exercises and projects focus on grasping the technical aspects of photography as well as exploring the creative and conceptual aspects of photography as a visual art. Additional fess apply.
