ARTH 252 Survey of Asian Art II
An introduction to the art of China and Japan and the political, economic, social, and cultural conditions that led to their creation. The meaning and symbolic content of the works of art, specifically in relation to major religious and philosophical traditions of Asia, will be a primary focus of the course.
