GEOL 105 Dinosaur Lab

This laboratory experience is presented as an apprenticeship in the field of vertebrate paleontology. Jurassic dinosaur and other vertebrate faunal material collected in Utah will be prepared and studied. Lab exercises include the instruction for the proper use of tools, technique application and procedures to prepare fossil dinosaur material for archival storage and/or study. Application of the scientific method using vertebrate data and geologic principles will also be part of the laboratory experience. A comprehensive scientific report is required.
