Marietta College is committed to the idea that education is a lifelong pursuit. For over 75 years, we have served the area community with a wide range of offerings. We provide opportunities for both those with prior college credit who are ready to resume their education and complete an associate or bachelor’s degrees as well as non-degree students seeking personal and/or professional development, graduate school prerequisites, or professional licensure.

Degree-Seeking

Adult learners may pursue any of the traditional bachelor’s degrees described in the Undergraduate Programs section or select from the General Studies major (BA) or an associate’s degree as described below. Additionally, adult learners enjoy the unique benefit of enrolling in courses alongside our traditional full-time students, fostering an enriching academic environment for all.

Minors and certificate programs are awarded only in conjunction with a bachelor's degree.

Non-Degree Seeking

For non-degree seekers interested in continuing education, community members may participate in undergraduate courses by Auditing classes or through our Town & Gown program.

Other Continuing Education opportunities include the Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR) and workforce development opportunities.

Information on the master's degrees available are described in the Graduate Programs portion of the catalog.
