COUN 635 Addictions Counseling
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the field of addictions. The course will examine the compelling and emerging questions common to all addictive behavior. Students will become immersed in the research devoted to the physiology of addictions, social reinforcers, and the psychological explanations for addictive behaviors. Students will be exposed to prevention and early intervention strategies as well as the treatment methodologies common in the field of addictions.
