Departmental Mission:
The Department of Sports Medicine includes the major in Sports Medicine and serves as the Athletic Training Department responsible for the health and well-being of Marietta College athletes. The department aims to promote patient-centered care, inter-professional education and collaboration, student learning, professional development, evidence-based medicine, and advocacy for athletic training among its students, staff, faculty, and affiliates.
Major in Sports Medicine Mission:
The mission of the Sports Medicine Department is to challenge learners to be critical thinkers and advocates for the healthcare professions. The program aims to equip students with foundational knowledge in science and health-related fields as well as prepare them to be directed, life-long learners.
