PHYS 137 DIY Manufacture

An introduction to tools and ideas for building highly customized and individualized things on a small scale (Do-it-yourself making). This class offers students hands-on experiences in product design, fabrication, and refinement. Skills covered include idea conception, computer assisted design, microcontroller programming, and 3D printing. Students will create, test, refine, and extend objects and devices both from existing designs and of their own design. Three hours of supervised workshop activity per week.
