EDUC 621 Foundation of the Science of Reading
Students will learn how children acquire language, and how their early language is related to early, literacy skills. Students explore evidence-based, practices for teaching reading and those not, grounded in reading science. Students learn the, theoretical models that undergird the development, of competent readers, the definition of structured, literacy, and the significance of phonological, processing in word recognition.
